Hi, I’m Megan, and I’m the heart behind Megan’s Kind Community where I share the message “Be Kind Be Nice” throughout the Northwoods and beyond. I’m a multi-medal Special Olympian who loves sports, meeting new people, and helping others whenever I can.

Megans Kind Community exists to spread kindness, strengthen community connections, and create lasting impact through meaningful action. Megans Kind Community exists to spread kindness, strengthen community connections, and create lasting impact through meaningful action. We believe small acts, when rooted in compassion and shared purpose, can create real and lasting change. Our mission is simple: lead with heart, show up for one another, and turn care into action for the communities we call home.
At Megans Kind Community, kindness is not a moment. It is a commitment. We focus on meeting people where they are, listening to local needs, and responding in ways that are thoughtful, practical, and inclusive. By bringing people together around a shared belief in doing good, we work to build stronger, more connected communities where everyone feels supported and valued.

We don’t run programs, we fuel them.
Megans Kind Community proudly supports the local organizations making a difference every day, including Fire & EMS, food pantries, senior centers, schools, and childcare programs like Little Forest School.

Everything we do is guided by one belief: giving back should stay close to home. Over the past four years, more than $9,000 has been reinvested locally to support organizations and neighbors in need.
Our impact isn’t measured only in dollars, but in relationships, support, and real moments of kindness.

Megans Kind Community is proud to serve as a connector, helping direct resources where they can do the most good.

Grab your clubs and join us for the 3rd Annual Megan’s Kind Community Golf Fundraiser at the beautiful Trout Lake Golf Course on Sunday, September 13, 2026!
Enjoy 18 holes of golf, lunch, contests, prizes, basket raffles, a 50/50 raffle, and a day filled with fun—all while making a difference in our community.
Every dollar raised stays right here in the Mercer area, helping support local organizations, families in need, scholarships, holiday giving, and other community initiatives. A portion of this year’s proceeds will also benefit the Mercer Education Foundation.
Whether you golf, sponsor a hole, donate a raffle item, or simply cheer us on, you’re helping us continue Megan’s message:
Be Kind. Be Nice.
Celebrate Independence Day with us at Mercer’s Fourth of July Parade! This year’s celebration is extra special as we honor America’s 250th birthday and 100 years of the Turtle-Flambeau Flowage.
Be sure to watch for Megan as she proudly rides through the parade as George Washington, spreading smiles and reminding everyone to Be Kind. Be Nice.
Bring your family, wear your red, white, and blue, and join us for a memorable celebration of community, history, and hometown pride!
